Reporting to the Director, Supplier Risk & Compliance, the individual is tasked with supporting the Supplier Risk & Compliance team to develop and grow a world-class supplier tariff optimization program that uses strong frameworks, risk-based audits, and continuous improvement to ensure Country of Origin, Section 232 compliance and reduction, and communication bridge between our Trade Compliance team and our supply chain organization for latest tariff updates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a sustainable process for sourcing stage-gates and supplier risk management to incorporate the Trade Compliance function inclusive of tariffs
- Keep abreast of global trade and regulatory requirements such as IEEPA, 301, Section 232 and Reciprocal Tariffs
- Support development of Stanley Black & Decker policies and/ or statements on supplier trade requirements
- Develop communication materials related to tariff initiatives for internal and external audiences including customers
- Support mitigation plans for sourcing to minimize tariff exposure based on approved policies disseminated by the Tariff Integration team
- Educate suppliers on tariff documentation requirements
- Coordinate periodic meetings with stakeholders to drive awareness and compliance
- Review and prioritize 232 Declarations non-compliance of suppliers
- Drive sustainable root cause analysis and action plans for 232 non-compliance through continuous improvement, training
- Monitor and report assessment findings and remediation progress and proactively identify potential issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability/ Sustainable Management, Supply Chain Management or similar fields
- Experience working in and developing Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability programs for an organization with a global supply chain
- Strong planning, project management and coordination skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strategic and analytical skills with capability to develop process improvements
- Strong attention to detail, and follow up
- Strong communication skills with ability to respectfully handle sensitive and confidential information
