🚨 We're Hiring | Supplier Quality Engineer
Are you passionate about quality systems, supplier development, and continuous improvement in the automotive manufacturing industry? We're looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization.
📍 Location: Chennai
🏭 Industry: Automotive Manufacturing
💼 Experience: 5–6 Years
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage supplier quality, supplier development, and incoming material quality.
✅ Conduct supplier system, process, and product audits.
✅ Review and approve APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and related quality documentation.
✅ Lead supplier corrective actions using 8D methodology and monitor supplier quality performance (PPM/KPIs).
✅ Oversee incoming inspection activities and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
✅ Manage calibration schedules, measurement systems analysis (MSA), and calibration records.
✅ Support new product development, supplier qualification, and first-piece approvals.
✅ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce supplier defects and improve process quality.
Ideal Candidate:
✔ 5–6 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Assurance within the Automotive Manufacturing industry.
✔ Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and GD&T.
✔ Experience in supplier audits, incoming quality control, calibration management, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, DOE).
✔ Excellent analytical, communication, and supplier management skills.
✔ Willingness to travel for supplier audits and development activities.
Education:
🎓 Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma preferred)
Preferred Certifications:
• Internal Auditor – IATF 16949
• Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Supplier Auditor Certification
• 8D Problem Solving Training
• Calibration & MSA Training
