Job Purpose
To supervise and manage a team of Client Tax Coordinators within the India Shared Services Center, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of tax coordination services. The role is responsible for team performance, workflow management, quality control, and internal stakeholder coordination to support global tax service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision & Performance Management
- Supervise day‑to‑day activities of Client Tax Coordinators supporting global tax operations.
- Allocate and balance workloads to meet turnaround times and service‑level expectations.
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Coach team members on documentation standards, timelines, and service quality.
2. Operational Oversight
- Monitor tax coordination workflows including document readiness, deadline tracking, and e‑file process support.
- Review team outputs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to SOPs.
- Act as the first level of escalation for operational, documentation, or workflow issues.
3. Stakeholder & Client Support Coordination
- Support resolution of complex or escalated client‑related issues raised by internal teams.
- Coordinate with Tax Associates, bookkeeping teams, and client‑facing functions to enable smooth fulfillment of tax services.
- Ensure timely and professional internal communication aligned with agreed service standards.
4. Quality, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, data security standards, and audit requirements.
- Monitor quality trends and recurring errors; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and process clarity.
5. Process Improvement & Reporting
- Track and analyze productivity, quality, and SLA metrics for the team.
- Prepare regular operational reports for management review.
- Collaborate with operations management to implement process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
- Identify training needs and coordinate refresher or upskilling sessions for the team.
6. Talent & Team Development
- Support hiring, onboarding, and knowledge transfer for new team members.
- Foster a collaborative, performance‑driven, and compliance‑focused team culture.
- Encourage continuous learning and best‑practice adoption.
7. Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate maintenance of client documentation, records, and system entries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in tax coordination, client operations, or SSC / professional services environments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
- Strong understanding of tax documentation workflows and deadline management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Business English.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and people‑management skills.
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and reporting dashboards.
