Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Supervisor to oversee and manage electrical execution activities for Solar EPC projects at the Thennambatti, Tamil Nadu location. The candidate will be responsible for supervising installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems including PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, and associated equipment.
The role requires strong technical knowledge, site coordination abilities, and leadership skills to ensure project execution is completed safely, efficiently, and within project timelines. The Electrical Supervisor will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site teams to maintain quality standards, safety compliance, and smooth project operations.
The ideal candidate should have experience in solar or industrial electrical projects, hands-on exposure to electrical systems and commissioning activities, and a good understanding of safety procedures, electrical standards, and site management practices.
Key Roles & Responsibilites
- Electrical Installation & Site Supervision
- Supervise installation of PV modules, inverters, SCBs, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, and switchyard equipment.
- Monitor day-to-day electrical activities at the project site.
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, SLDs, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors for smooth execution.
- Testing & Commissioning
- Assist in testing and commissioning of solar plant electrical systems.
- Ensure proper cable testing, inverter testing, and transformer checks before energization.
- Support grid synchronization activities and ensure compliance with electrical standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during installation and commissioning stages.
- Quality Control & Documentation
- Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project quality standards.
- Maintain records of installation, testing reports, inspections, and daily progress activities.
- Verify electrical materials and equipment received at site as per project requirements.
- Assist in preparation of progress reports and completion documentation.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures and HSE guidelines.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe working practices at site.
- Monitor usage of PPE and safe handling of electrical equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Coordination & Team Management
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams for work planning and execution.
- Supervise electricians, technicians, and subcontractor workforce.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned electrical activities within project schedules.
- Support project management in achieving site targets and operational efficiency.
