Position: Supervisor – Defence Procurement & Tendering
Location: Hyderabad
Organisation: Tractrix Opto Dynamics (Defence & Deep-Tech Domain)
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-driven Supervisor to manage tendering and procurement operations in the defence domain. The role requires strong familiarity with Government procurement systems, especially in defence, and the ability to independently handle end-to-end tender cycles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tender Management
Identify and track relevant tenders across GeM, CPPP, MoD portals, and other sources
Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance in submissions
Maintain tender calendars and submission timelines
2. Procurement Process Handling
Execute procurement processes aligned with DAP / DPP / DPM guidelines
Support preparation of SoCs, compliance matrices, and bid documentation
Handle RFIs, RFPs, EoIs, and reverse auctions (GeM)
3. Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all bids meet defence procurement compliance norms
Maintain repository of:
Past tenders
Technical documents
Certifications & credentials
Prepare responses to TEC / CNC / clarifications
4. Coordination & Liaison
Coordinate with:
Internal teams (R&D, Finance, SCM)
External stakeholders (vendors, MoD reps, DPSUs)
Follow up on submitted bids and track progress
5. Commercial & Strategic Support
Assist in pricing strategies, cost sheets, and bid comparisons
Support contract finalization and order execution follow-ups
Provide insights on procurement trends and opportunities
Eligibility Criteria
Essential:
5–10 years of experience in tendering / procurement
Strong working knowledge of:
GeM Portal
DAP / DPP / DPM procedures
Experience handling Government / Defence tenders
Desirable:
Exposure to Apex-level procurement (MoD / Service HQ / DPSUs)
Prior experience in Defence, Aerospace, or Government contracting
Understanding of technical evaluation processes
Preferred Profile:
Veterans (JCOs / OR / Officers) with procurement/logistics exposure
Candidates with strong process discipline and documentation rigor
