Job Summary

Veterinarian Team Lead will lead the prescription verification process for our online pet pharmacy. This role requires overseeing a team of professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will streamline processes, and provide the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in prescription handling.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Operations

• Supervise the team of veterinarians to maintain high accuracy and productivity standards.
• Develop and manage workflows to ensure the timely processing of prescriptions.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's knowledge and performance.

Regulatory Compliance & Licensing

• Ensured compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for prescription handling, including state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to resolve compliance issues and stay updated on changes in veterinary pharmaceutical laws.
• Oversee the documentation and processes required for regulatory inspections and audits.

Process Improvement & Expansion

• Evaluate current verification processes and implement strategies to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the design and implementation of automation tools to streamline prescription verification workflows.
• Prepare feasibility studies and recommendations for new initiatives.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with internal teams (customer service, legal, and operations) to address prescription-related issues and operational needs.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on team performance and operational progress.

Project Management

• Create and manage project timelines for operational improvements and expansions.
• Monitor progress against key milestones and proactively address risks or delays.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders to ensure project success.

Education and Experience

• PhD or MVSc in Veterinary Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience 
• Proven track record in managing teams and delivering on operational objectives.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of veterinary pharmaceuticals, prescription verification processes, and regulatory requirements in India.
• Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships effectively.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
