About the role:

The Assistant procurement manager will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating purchase terms, ensuring timely procurement of goods, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibility:

• Assist in sourcing, selecting, and procuring products based on demand forecasting.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
• Maintain and update procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
• Collaborate with the inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and replenish supplies accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
• Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and product demand to enhance procurement strategies.
• Resolve supply chain issues, delays, or discrepancies in orders efficiently.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, operations) to align procurement needs with business goals.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management (preferably in eCommerce).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of pet care products and industry trends is a plus.
