OverviewHistory of the Company: Superior Ambulance Service started in 1959 with one ambulance and today is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest. Superior employs more than 3,000 licensed EMT, Paramedics and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 800 ambulances throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin with over 55 locations. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed-wing emergency medical transportation.
EMTs and Paramedics provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. Superior provides the highest quality care in emergencies and scheduled medical transports.

ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties and responsibilities of the Dispatcher consist of, but are not limited to the following:
- Be extremely knowledgeable in service area
- Give appropriate ETA’s while accounting for type and level of response, traffic patterns, and weather conditions
- Prioritize request for ambulance service
- Communicate issues to marketing, management, and customers as necessary
- Assist EMT’s and Paramedics with directions as necessary
- Always maintain appropriate status of crews
- Oversee function of Assistant Dispatcher
- Delegate additional responsibilities to assistant as necessary
- Assist in receiving and entering in request for ambulance or Medi-Car service as necessary
- Communicate patient diversions and keep all appropriate associated records
- Maintain status records and give appropriate ETAs for Critical Care Transport as necessary
- Other duties as assigned

Salary RangeUSD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr. rates offered based on years of experience and full time scheduled templates.
