Role Description
The HSEQA Superintendent will oversee health, safety, environmental, quality, and assurance initiatives for the company’s marine operations. Primary responsibilities include implementing and monitoring HSEQ policies, conducting audits and risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance with both internal standards and global maritime legislation. The superintendent will lead incident investigations, develop corrective action plans, and provide training to promote a robust safety culture. Collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and compliance will be essential. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Thane.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practices, including risk assessment, incident investigation, and creating safety policies.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance within maritime operations, including ISM, ISO standards, and international conventions.
- Proficiency in audits, reporting, and the implementation of corrective actions to ensure the highest safety and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills to foster a safety culture and guide teams effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline; Master’s Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with advanced maritime technology systems, such as fleet management software and performance support systems, is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to travel and a commitment to supporting both shipboard and onshore operations as required.
