Senior Android Engineer

What are we building: Superfone is a next-generation telecom operator that is reimagining a business mobile number for SMBs. We provide a VOIP based mobile number that works on our app and can be shared by multiple team members - a first in India! Superfone also comes packed with business features such as parallel ringing, call recording, caller tune, integrated CRM, Whatsapp API, automations, integrations and other features.This is a massive opportunity as tens of millions of Indian SMB run their business via calls or Whatsapp using basic SIM cards that provide no business features! About us: We are an early stage startup with a passionate team that brings deep experience in telecom, consumer internet, payments across companies such as Flipkart, Phonepe, Ola and backed up prominent investors such as Ankur Capital, Sparrow Capital and others. What you will do- Build a superlative Android app that millions of businesses will use daily to make tens of millions of calls- Be a part of the product decision making process by understanding the customer’s pain points & work closely with the founders and other key people in the team. - Build a world-class product that’s still in its early stages and mention junior engineers.- Opportunity to lead our Android engineering team and more What skills you must have:- 7+ years of high quality Android development experience- Strong expertise in Android fundamentals with Kotlin, ReactNative, Compose and other Android frameworks- Hands-on experience with firebase, marketing analytics, debugging and other Android tools.- Strong OOPS concepts, component based development and computing skills - OS concepts, threads, data structures, networking, RDBMS, SQL etc.- Excellent problem solving skills, passion for new challenges and a generalist attitude Bonus: Experience with any VOIP development, audio/video streaming, Knowledge of any server side programming language (PHP, Python, JAVA, Ruby), Web development, iOS experience is a plus. We would be a good fit if you have a:- Hunger and desire to build from scratch, lead a team & be part of the core team of an early stage startup.- High level of ownership & can work independently.
