Job Description
The Manager of MIS & Costing plays a pivotal role in delivering data-driven insights through comprehensive MIS reporting and cost analysis. This position is crucial for enabling effective decision-making, cost control, and enhancing the financial performance of the organization. The role involves analyzing, controlling, and optimizing costs by implementing robust costing systems, monitoring cost behavior, and providing actionable insights to boost profitability and operational efficiency. The manager will be responsible for developing and executing annual business plans, ensuring accurate budgeting, and conducting profitability analysis. Additionally, the role requires expertise in ERP systems and a deep understanding of product knowledge to support strategic initiatives. The manager will also lead efforts in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. A strong focus on quality, health, safety, and environmental orientation is essential, along with a commitment to fostering interdependencies and organizational commitment.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and execute the annual business plan for the fiscal year specifically for the Pipe Businessbr Break down the annual business plan into quarterly and monthly segments to ensure detailed tracking and executionbr Manage all standard work related to business planning and budgeting maintaining consistency year over yearbr Conduct profitability and order bidding costing to ensure competitive and profitable pricing strategiesbr Oversee project costing and actuals for DVA and PPLC ensuring alignment with financial goalsbr Prepare projected versus actual profitability orders conducting variance analysis to identify discrepanciesbr Utilize BIBO tools to compare SAP and manual reports ensuring accuracy and identifying areas for future upgradesbr Conduct WIP and inventory valuation to maintain accurate financial records and optimize resource allocationbr Assign CO roles to users through the GRC system ensuring proper access and compliancebr Generate management flash reports to provide quick insights into financial performance and operational metricsbr Analyze MIR and BRC data to identify trends and support strategic decisionmakingbr Ensure the correctness of standard costing in SAP CO focusing on RM rates and optimizing the FICO modulebr Maintain comprehensive reports and records to support audits and ensure compliancebr Book costs against cost centers accurately and track cost center performance to ensure budget adherence
