About the role

The State University of New York College of Optometry is seeking an exceptional Adjunct Faculty member to teach General Pathology topics as part of the Bioscience course taught in the Spring semester to optometry students. This position involves delivering approximately 30-36 lecture hours on essential topics related to general pathology with emphasis on pathological conditions affecting the visual system. Experience in the visual system is desired but not essential. Adjunct responsibilities include interactive, onsite classroom instruction and assessment of student progress through exams, quizzes and/or class participation.

Requirements
    • PhD, MD or equivalent in a related field
    • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, particularly in medical or health-related programs
    • Prior commitment to education and student success
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics clearly.
