We are seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, will be responsible for maintaining the working condition of the plant facilities and production equipment during the assigned shift. This is accomplished through performance of scheduled maintenance activities, completing repairs and adjustments as reported by the plant operators, or through the direction of the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them promptly.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Other duties as assigned or required by supervisory staff.
Requirements:
- Technical training in mechanical and electrical fields is required.
- Skilled working with electrical systems including 480VAC & 24VDC power.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings (blueprints, and technical drawings) a plus.
- 3-5 years previous experience required.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Commitment to safety and physical fitness for the job.
- Experience in MS Office products and windows-based computer applications.
Physical Demands:
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 49 pounds
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
Hours:
- Full time job
- Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
- 8-hour shift plus occasional overtime
Salary
$24.00 per hour
