About the role

The Engineer will maintain the optimal performance of automated and robotic systems through efficient implementation, operation, and maintenance. This includes providing immediate troubleshooting and executing corrective actions to rapidly restore equipment and system functionality. The Engineer will support project implementation by performing acceptance testing and providing training, leading to improved equipment uptime and system reliability. This role also involves developing practices and procedures to optimize processes, increase production, enhance quality, and maintain high safety standards. This role will monitor and troubleshoot automated systems both on-site and remotely, implement corrective actions, and propose long-term improvements. Success requires strong collaboration with plant operations, maintenance, and staff. Essential Job Functions: Able to utilize CAD knowledge to identify mechanical roadblocks and generate solutions by designing custom components or integrating off-the-shelf components into existing and future systems. Minimize downtime for robotic and automated systems and execute corrections. Able to troubleshoot electrical cabinets and identify components using electrical drawings. Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing staff and supervision regarding automation and robotics. Use new technology to provide enhanced insight into operational and equipment challenges and propose solutions to those situations. Analyze performance data proactively and recommend data driven upgrades that demonstrate a high level of investment return. Modify existing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), or electrical schematics. Initiate, track, and close, through Management of Change (MOC) best practices, all activities with focus on Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis
