Compensation & Representation:
The Secondary Registrar is a classified staff member represented by the Classified Administrative Professional
Association (CAPA) and is compensated according to the CAPA Salary Schedule.
Essential Job Functions:
This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some incumbents may not perform all the duties listed

● Maintains the student information system, including class enrollment, class schedules, transcripts,
progress reports and grading system
● Participates in the planning and provides data entry for the master schedule process
● Prepares course descriptions, reports and correspondence for students, parents, staff and administrators
in regards to student enrollment
● Processes student withdrawals and verifies student waivers
● Processes registration of students
● Assists with student fee and fine information, may process correspondence as needed
● Participates in staff and department meetings
● Works collaboratively within the professional learning community of the school and district
● Performs other duties as assigned
● Reports to work with regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
● Upholds board policy, district and building policies and goals
Minimum Qualifications:
● High school diploma required with additional training in computers and office procedures
● One year of previous school office experience in a school setting
Preferred Qualifications:
● Associate’s Degree and evidence of continuing education courses and/or training workshops in
areas relative to the position’s responsibilities
● Experience and/or training with cultural, ethnic and language diversity is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Knowledge of general office procedures and ability to learn District practices and procedures
● Knowledge of and ability to operate office equipment such as a computer and computer programs to
include student information systems
● Skill in recordkeeping and report preparation
● Skill in keyboarding, data entry and data manipulation
● Ability to effectively communicate with others both orally and in writing
● Ability to format and compose routine correspondence
● Ability to exercise sound judgment, including appropriate handling of confidential matters

interruptions to meet deadlines

Working Conditions:
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
Inspects school or district facilities for the purpose of ensuring that the site is suitable for safe operations,
maintained in an attractive and clean condition, and/or identifying necessary repairs due to vandalism, equipment
breakage, weather conditions, etc.
Occasional exposure to weather. Moderate physical demand, occasionally required to lift and carry objects
weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds and push/pull with up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force. Must be able to
walk up to 500 feet at a time and climb stairs as needed.
The District operates on a fiscal year from September 1st through August 31st. Those employees who do not
work the full year are paid over a 12-month period. This means that during the school year the monthly pay
warrants will be approximately 1/12 of the school year earnings, which allows the employee to receive a pay
warrant during the summer months.
