Ankitgram Sewadham Ashram is a well-known inter-faith and non-partisan voluntary organization providing lifetime shelter and rehabilitation for individuals in need. The Ashram extends its compassionate care to homeless, helpless, differently-abled, mentally ill, and destitute individuals from across India. Without discrimination based on caste, creed, gender, or age, it also offers safe refuge for unmarried mothers and mentally ill pregnant women. Many of its residents face chronic or terminal illnesses, highlighting Sewadham Ashram's commitment to serving humanity with love and dignity.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site internship role located in Delhi, India. The Summer Intern will actively participate in day-to-day operations such as assisting in care activities, organizing community programs, and supporting administrative tasks. Internship responsibilities also include conducting outreach initiatives, assisting with documentation and reporting, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operation of the Ashramβs activities.
Qualifications
- Compassion, empathy, and a dedication to serve vulnerable populations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, interfaith environment
- Adaptability and willingness to take on various tasks as required
- Basic knowledge of administrative work, documentation, or social services is a plus
- Proficiency in English and Hindi is beneficial
- Students or individuals pursuing social work, healthcare, or related fields are encouraged to apply
