Role Description The Substation Site Incharge is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, responsible for overseeing daily operations and activities at electrical substations. This role includes supervising installation, commissioning, and maintenance work, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and ensuring adherence to technical standards and safety regulations. The Substation Site Incharge monitors power systems performance, manages troubleshooting efforts, and ensures timely resolution of issues to maintain continuous and reliable electrical supply. The position also involves planning work schedules, managing site documentation, liaising with clients and inspectors, and reporting project progress to senior management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a clear understanding of industrial and utility environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Power Systems, including substation layouts, equipment specifications, and protection schemes.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Troubleshooting skills related to substation equipment, control systems, and power distribution issues.
- Organize day-to-day site operations, manage teams of workers, and coordinate heavy equipment and materials delivery
- Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with 3 to 4 years experience.
- Experience in substation construction, commissioning, or operation is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements for electrical installations.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage site teams and contractors.
- Implement and monitor strict safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, local utility codes) to ensure a zero-incident work environment.
- Ability to work on-site in varying environmental conditions and respond promptly to operational emergencies.
