Role Description The Substation Design role at ECS is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. The role involves preparing and reviewing substation layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and detailed engineering drawings in coordination with project teams. Responsibilities include performing technical studies, supporting design calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The position requires close collaboration with engineering, project management, and site execution teams to address design issues, optimize solutions, and support project delivery. The role also includes preparing design documentation, participating in design reviews, and providing technical input during procurement and construction phases.
Qualifications
- Design and visualization skills, including Graphic Design and Graphics, relevant to preparing clear engineering documentation and presentations.
- Architecture-related understanding to interpret and integrate substation layouts with overall site and infrastructure requirements.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and updating detailed electrical and structural drawings for substations.
- Strong Research skills to analyze standards, technologies, and best practices in substation design and power systems engineering.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with experience in substation or power system design preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant IEC/IS/IEEE standards, utility practices, and safety regulations for HV/MV/HT/LT installations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, manage priorities, and meet project timelines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction.
