About The Role
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Expertise — Act as the Senior Technical Expert for R&S, datacenter networking and wireless technologies, providing deep-dive guidance to internal teams and customers.
- Complex Problem Diagnosis — Perform advanced analysis and diagnosis of complex networking and security issues across multi-vendor environments.
- Solution Deployment — Deploy and support multi-vendor network and security solutions, ensuring stability, scalability, and compliance with design standards.
- Monitoring & Management Tools — Deploy and support network and security monitoring/management tools, ensuring visibility and proactive issue detection.
- Documentation Ownership — Prepare and update HLDs, LLDs, operational processes, and technical documentation for ongoing and new deployments.
- Sev-1/MIM Incident Support — Provide expert support during incidents to ensure resolution within SLA and minimize business impact.
- Root Cause Analysis — Perform RCA based on OEM inputs and internal investigation, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Continuous Improvement — Identify improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements for network and security infrastructure.
- Tool Evaluation — Evaluate new tools and technologies (automation platforms, observability suites, AI-driven NMS), produce recommendations and support effort estimation for new project opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration — Work closely with global IT teams, OEMs, vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure seamless operations and project execution.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer — Provide technical training and mentorship to L1/L2 operations teams to uplift capability and reduce escalations.
- Technology Up-skilling — Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest networking and security technologies, OEM releases, and industry best practices.
- Project Leadership — Act as the key SPOC for transition, transformation, organic growth, and greenfield/brownfield network projects.
About You
Technical & Functional Skills & Certifications :
- CCIE - R&S & wireless ( additional skill in Security / Datacenter & knowledge on SDA/SDN preferred )
- OEM – CISCO, JUNIPER, ARUBA, MERAKI & SD-WAN OEMs
- AI/Automation/VMware / Windows / Linux certification – would be an advantage
- ITIL certification – would be an advantage
Education & Qualifications
- BE / B.tech. / B.Sc. in EXTC/ Computer Science / Information Technology/AI
Experience Required :
- Core Networking — 12–15+ years of hands-on experience in Routing & Switching, Wireless, Datacenter Networking, and Security across enterprise environments.
- Multi-Vendor Implementation — Proven implementation and operational experience with multi-vendor OEMs (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, etc.).
- Wireless & RF Technologies — Strong background in RF technologies, wireless security, AVC, and enterprise mobility solutions.
- Network Security — Expertise in Cisco ISE, ACLs, VPN (L2VPN, L3VPN, IPSEC, GRE), and advanced security architectures.
- Datacenter Networking — Deep experience with protocols and technologies such as BGP-Lite, VLAN, VxLAN, FCoE, TRILL, OTV, IS-IS, and datacenter fabrics.
- Virtualization — Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and virtual networking solutions.
- Datacenter Projects — Experience in datacenter consolidation, transformation, and migration projects.
- Cloud Infrastructure — Knowledge and experience with cloud computing infrastructure, orchestration, and hybrid networking.
- Software Defined Networking — Strong understanding of SDN and NFV technologies, including deployment and operational support.
- Automation & Scripting — Practical experience with automation frameworks (Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform) for configuration, compliance, and workflow optimization.
- Observability & Monitoring — Exposure to observability platforms (DNAC, SolarWinds, Splunk, Prometheus, AIOps tools) for proactive monitoring and predictive insights.
- AI/ML in Networking — Experience leveraging AI/ML-driven tools for anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools ( SolarWinds, DNAC, Prime, Splunk, etc.)
- Collaboration & Leadership — Demonstrated ability to work with global IT teams, OEMs, vendors, partners, and service providers, and act as SPOC for transition, transformation, and greenfield/brownfield projects. Ability to lead technical discussions with customers and stakeholders.
