Role Overview:
We are looking for exceptional PhD graduates in Physics and Natural Sciences who are passionate about research, innovation, and mentoring. As a Research Mentor, you will guide high-achieving students in conceptualizing, executing, and publishing impactful research projects while contributing to the development of Pangea's research ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Mentorship
- Mentor students through the complete research lifecycle—from identifying research questions to publication-ready manuscripts.
- Guide students in experimental design, computational methods, data analysis, scientific writing, and presentation.
- Develop personalized research plans with defined milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure projects meet the highest standards of academic rigor, originality, and research ethics.
Academic Excellence & Innovation
- Encourage students to tackle real-world challenges through innovative and interdisciplinary research.
- Stay updated with emerging developments in Physics and Natural Sciences to enhance research quality.
- Collaborate with Athena's academic and consulting teams to deliver exceptional research experiences.
Program Development & Partnerships
- Build relationships with researchers, professors, and subject matter experts to strengthen the mentor network.
- Support workshops, conferences, and academic events.
- Contribute to thought leadership through research publications and collaborative initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- PhD in Physics or a Natural Science discipline (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Sciences, Astronomy, Environmental Sciences, or related fields) from a reputed institution.
- Demonstrated record of academic excellence with peer-reviewed publications.
- Strong expertise in experimental and/or computational research methods and quantitative analysis.
- Ability to conceptualize innovative research ideas and mentor students effectively.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and passion for nurturing the next generation of researchers.
