Core responsibilities and expectations for the Subject Matter Expert (Sales-SME) role regarding our insurance accounts.

The SME will be responsible for assisting the sales team during client calls and managing all insurance accounts throughout the pre-implementation and implementation phases.

To ensure comprehensive back-office support, the SME must review job descriptions, identify suitable candidates from the bench team, and assign them to the appropriate clients and client relationships.

Furthermore, the SME will serve as the primary liaison between the sales, implementations, and overseas operations teams to ensure seamless coordination across all departments.


Main Roles & Responsibilities- Property & Casualty | Employee Benefits Sales Support:

  • Assist the sales team during client calls.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide required SOPs and documentation.
  • Support the sales team in gathering client requirements and proposing suitable solutions.


Transition & Onboarding Pre-Implementation:

  • Identify suitable candidates based on job descriptions
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the right candidates are shortlisted for interviews and make sure the candidate meets all the requirements.


Implementation:

  • Once candidates are finalized, coordinate with the operations team.
  • Schedule and conduct walkthrough sessions for a smooth transition. Post-Onboarding
  • Manage client accounts effectively after onboarding.
  • Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and relationship management.


Account Management:

  • Client Care and accounts managements
  • Gather feedback from clients and upsells


Property and Casualty Insurance:

  • Certificate of insurance, CSR 24, Renewals, Quoting, Endorsement, Indexing, Accounting, Claims, Policy checking, Invoice, Notice of cancellation, Loss Runs, Document Retrieval, Rating Quotes for new business, New Business Submission, Accord Filling, Benefits Administration.
  • Insurance SME -Sales ops support


Benefits & Coverage Analysis

  • Interpret policy terms to determine coverage applicability
  • Analyze benefits, exclusions, and limits under P&C policies
  • Assist customers/agents with coverage-related queries

AMS Knowledge (any 4 required):

  • Epic
  • AMS 360
  • Sagitta
  • Citrix
  • Image Right
  • QQ Catalyst
  • Nexsure
  • Apex

Other Responsibilities:

  • Workflow Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, design, and implement efficient workflows (e.g., in Applied Epic, Vertafore AMS360).
  • Carrier Compliance & Liaison: Ensure all agency practices adhere to carrier guidelines and state regulations. (E&O, NDA, Cyber Policy)
  • Data Management & Reporting: Create and analyze reports regarding production, manage MIS
  • Training & Mentorship: Train new and existing sales staff on back-office procedures, technical tools, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Any Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 7-8 years of previous experience in a USA insurance Agency operations
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and procedures
