Job Purpose/ Summary
Responsible for the end-to-end upkeep, maintenance and monitoring of four traffic islands maintained by Welspun across South Mumbai. The role focuses on ensuring high standards of infrastructure maintenance, safety, aesthetics and civic compliance through effective site supervision, vendor coordination and liaison with government authorities.

Job Description
Site Monitoring and Upkeep
Ensure overall maintenance, cleanliness, safety, lighting, landscaping and structural integrity of four traffic islands under Welspun’s responsibility Conduct regular and surprise site inspections to assess condition and identify repair or upgrade requirements Ensure sites meet agreed quality, safety and aesthetic standards at all times Track and close all maintenance-related observations within defined timelines
Government and Civic Liaison
Act as the primary point of contact with BMC and other civic authorities for matters related to water supply, electricity connections, permissions, repairs, and compliance Coordinate approvals and follow-ups with government bodies to ensure uninterrupted services at all sites Manage issue resolution with authorities in case of breakdowns, complaints or civic notices
Vendor and Partner Management
Manage and coordinate multiple vendors and service partners including housekeeping, landscaping, electrical and civil contractors Define scope of work, service expectations and timelines for vendors Monitor vendor performance on quality, timeliness and safety compliance Ensure vendors adhere to agreed service levels and statutory norms
Costing and Work Execution
Prepare cost estimates, BOQs and work orders for maintenance, repair, refurbishment or upgrade activities Evaluate repair options and recommend cost-effective solutions Track work execution against approved scope, timelines, and budgets Support basic budgeting and cost control for site maintenance activities
Team Management and Reporting
Manage and guide one site supervisor reporting into the role Allocate daily tasks and monitor execution through the supervisor Maintain site records including inspection reports, vendor bills, work orders and approval documentation Provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders on site status, issues and improvements
Principal Accountabilities
Oversee the comprehensive site monitoring and upkeep of traffic islands ensuring high standards of maintenance and aestheticsbr Liaise effectively with government and civic authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standardsbr Manage vendor relationships and partnerships to ensure timely and quality execution of maintenance tasksbr Oversee costing and work execution to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedulebr Lead and manage a team providing clear direction and support to achieve maintenance objectivesbr Implement and monitor safety and quality control measures to ensure a safe and compliant environmentbr Prepare and present detailed reports on maintenance activities progress and outcomes to senior management
