Job Description – Sub-Contracting Engineer
- Handle multiple projects related to post-contract works
- Prepare subcontractor work orders for multiple projects
- Study drawings and prepare BOQs with detailed specifications
- Define subcontractor scope, specifications for RCC, finishing works, and machinery hiring including terms & conditions
- Prepare rate analysis for various construction items
- Prepare comparison statements of contractors’ quotations
- Prepare and issue Letters of Intent (LOI) to contractors
- Finalize labour contractors through negotiation on rates, scope, and terms & conditions
- Verify and ensure labour contractor work orders for scope, rates, and contractual conditions
- Prepare and maintain monthly work order tracker
- Maintain and update contractor master list
- Prepare contractor evaluation reports
- Update project-wise contractor price lists
- Coordinate with accounts department regarding contractor payments and timelines
Qualification & Experience:
- BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in subcontracting / post-contract works
Skills Required:
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
