Score Plus Education is seeking a Study Abroad Counselor to help students to support during their university admissions and applications preparation processes for higher education to local (UAE) and/or international universities abroad.
Job Responsibilities:
· To have familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources in USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Europe and/or New Zealand.
· Create profiles for each applicant and work collaborative with other counselors to review make final approvals.
· Helping students choose courses and extracurricular activities that will help them get into their chosen colleges or careers.
· Follow-up with students to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information
· Planning university admissions related seminars, conferences, workshops, and other public events;
· Representing Score Plus (The Princeton Review) at local fairs, school fairs and other promotional opportunities.
· Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from a reputed University with a Bachelors degree
- Minimum 2 years working experience in university advising and well versed with the entire application process of getting into both undergraduate &/or postgraduate programs
- Verbal and written fluency in English.
- High level of attention to detail and demonstrated organizational ability
- Excellent time management, planning and implementation, analytical, and computer/internet skills.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work extended hours during critical admissions seasons
- Highly organized with a distinct propensity for timeliness and professionalism
- Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skill
