Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Chennai for a Study Abroad Counselor. Responsibilities include offering career counseling to students, assisting in identifying suitable programs and universities that align with their goals, and guiding them through the application process. The counselor will also provide detailed support in documentation, visa applications, and pre-departure readiness while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of global education trends and university requirements to provide accurate information.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills to interact effectively with students and their families.
- Research and analytical skills to assess student profiles and recommend suitable programs and universities.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple student cases and deadlines efficiently.
- Knowledge of visa and application procedures for countries such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
- Ability to stay updated on global education trends and university admission processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM tools are preferable.
- Previous experience in the education counseling sector or a related field is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, or a related discipline is required.
