Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Study Abroad Counsellor role located in Guntur. The counsellor will guide students through the complete study abroad process, including understanding their academic profiles, career goals, and destination preferences, and recommending suitable universities and programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission requirements, supporting students with application preparation, and coordinating scholarship and financial planning guidance. The role also involves assisting with visa documentation and interview preparation, organizing information sessions and pre-departure orientations, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions and application status. The counsellor will collaborate with internal teams and international partners, respond promptly to student inquiries, and ensure a professional and supportive experience for each student.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student needs and provide clear, personalized guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident speaking, active listening, and professional email and phone etiquette.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases, deadlines, and documentation accurately.
- Excellent knowledge of international education systems, admissions procedures, and visa processes; prior study abroad or counseling experience.
- Proficiency with common office software and online tools for managing student data, applications, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or related fields are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Guntur, collaborate within a team, and maintain a student-focused, inclusive, and ethical approach.
