Job Description: International Student Counsellor (Immediate Joining)
Role & Responsibilities
• Student Counseling: Conduct one-on-one consultations or calls with students to understand
their educational goals, interests, and preferences. Provide personalised guidance on suitable
academic programs, institutions, and countries based on the student's profile.
• Admissions Assistance: Assist students in preparing and reviewing application materials,
including resumes, essays, and recommendation letters. Help students navigate the
admissions process, including application deadlines, standardised tests, and visa requirements.
• University Selection: Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of international universities,
courses, and scholarship opportunities. Recommend universities that align with students'
academic and career objectives.
• Financial Planning: Provide information on tuition fees, living expenses, and available financial
aid options. Assist students in creating a budget for their education abroad.
• Visa and Documentation: Guide students through the visa application process and ensure they
have the necessary documentation. Advice on visa interview preparation.
• Networking: Establish and maintain relationships with international universities, educational
institutions, and scholarship providers. Attend education fairs and industry events to stay
updated on trends.
• Compliance and Regulations: Stay informed about immigration laws, education regulations,
and policies in destination countries. Ensure students comply with all legal requirements.
• Support: Provide ongoing support to students, addressing concerns and queries throughout the
application and admission process. Offer guidance on academic and career planning for
long-term success.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Ability to communicate effectively with leads provided.
• Strong interpersonal and counselling skills.
• Ability to guide students through the international admission and visa process.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory)
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in International Education Counselling (Preferred)
