Role Description The Study Abroad Consultant internship role at The OmniJobs is an on-site position based in New Delhi. The intern will assist prospective students in exploring and selecting suitable international study programs, universities, and countries based on their academic background and career goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting basic research on overseas education opportunities, supporting application and documentation processes, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely guidance to students. The role also involves scheduling and participating in counseling sessions, maintaining accurate records of student interactions, and providing clear information on eligibility, timelines, and procedures. This internship offers practical exposure to education consulting, student advising, and global education trends.
Qualifications
- Ability to conduct structured research on universities, courses, admission criteria, and visa requirements and present findings clearly to students.
- 1 year of experience in a study abroad program is a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex information, respond to queries, and build trust with students and families.
- Organizational and coordination abilities to manage multiple student cases, track application steps, and meet deadlines.
- Basic proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) to prepare documents and maintain records.
- Interest in international education and awareness of global academic trends, destinations, and student experience considerations.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in any discipline; fields such as Education, Counseling, Management, or Humanities are an advantage.
- Capacity to learn quickly, work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Mumbai, and maintain a professional, inclusive approach with all learners.
