Role Description The Study Abroad Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at EEC at one of 26 branches in Gujarat. The advisor will provide individualized counseling to students and families on study abroad options, including program selection, admission requirements, and application processes. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing academic profiles, guiding students on standardized tests and documentation, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions. The role involves coordinating with international partner institutions, advising on visa procedures and timelines, and supporting students through application, admission, and pre-departure stages. The advisor will also participate in seminars, information sessions, and outreach activities to promote EEC’s study abroad services.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Educational Consulting, with experience guiding students on international programs and admission processes.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills to counsel students and families clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Visas and related procedures, including documentation, timelines, and basic compliance requirements.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills, including the ability to analyze student profiles and recommend appropriate academic pathways.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages in Gujarat is an advantage.
- Prior experience in study abroad advising, international education, or academic counseling is preferred.
