MOBILE – Center of Excellence for Global Mobility Law is looking for three to four skilled and motivated students to assist our researchers and support the daily operations of the center.
MOBILE is one of the Danish National Research Foundation’s centers of excellence. We conduct research on global mobility law, understood as the legal regulation of migration, transnational workers, tourism, etc., with a particular focus on regional regimes for free movement in different parts of the world, the practical implications of mobility rules and ow mobility rules change over time or as a result of external events
Research at MOBILE is primarily interdisciplinary. Therefore, familiarity with or interest in law, political science, sociology, data science, or related fields is an advantage.
Work at MOBILE takes place in a highly international environment, with researchers from many different countries.
Responsibilities
The student assistant tasks cover a broad spectrum of research-supporting activities, including:
- Information gathering and sorting
- Data collection and registration (both manual and through web scraping)
- Text editing and formatting
- Designing graphical visualizations
- Proofreading and formatting academic texts (primarily in English)
- Website updates and translation tasks
Additionally, practical tasks related to the centre’s daily operations may be required, e.g., helping organize and facilitate meetings, seminars, and conferences.
It is a clear advantage to have skills in data processing (e.g., text pre-processing, feature extraction, visualizations, etc.).
Project-specific position: One of the four student assistant positions is linked to a specific project, where tasks primarily include manual coding of legal documents and collecting and organizing sources in international law. Experience with Excel is an advantage.

Salary and Employment Conditions
Working hours: on average 10–15 hours per week. Work will be planned considering study and exam periods.
We are seeking 3–4 student assistants with staggered start dates:
- 1–2 students starting March 1 or as soon as possible thereafter
- 1–2 students starting June 1 or as soon as possible thereafter
Your salary is determined in accordance with the rules on remuneration for students as set out in the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/STAT and will be minimum DKK 142,97 per hour.
Candidates are expected to be currently enrolled in an (higher) educational program
