Role Description The Student Intern role is a full-time on-site position located in Chennai. The intern will support day-to-day import and export operations, including coordinating documentation, assisting with order tracking, and maintaining records related to shipments and client communication. Responsibilities may include conducting market research, gathering data on suppliers and customers, and helping prepare basic reports and presentations. The intern will collaborate with the operations and sales teams, learn about international trade regulations, and support administrative tasks to ensure smooth logistics and client service. This role is designed to provide practical exposure to global trade, supply chain processes, and professional work practices.
Qualifications
- Interest in international business, logistics, or supply chain management, with a willingness to learn about import and export operations.
- Strong research, data collection, and basic analytical skills to support market studies and operational reporting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to draft emails and prepare simple documentation clearly.
- Proficiency in using office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentations) for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Chennai, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams in a professional setting.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree or diploma program in business, commerce, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
