Role Description The Student Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The counselor will guide students through the entire study-abroad journey, including course and university selection, application preparation, and documentation support. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, providing career guidance, and offering clear information on admission and visa processes. The role involves coordinating with universities and internal teams, maintaining accurate records of student interactions, and ensuring timely follow-up via phone, email, and in-person meetings. The Student Counselor will also support student engagement initiatives, contribute to seminars or workshops, and uphold a student-centric, ethical counseling approach.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and personalized Education guidance skills to support diverse academic backgrounds.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling abilities to help students align their study choices with long-term professional goals.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, to interact effectively with students and families.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to deliver responsive, empathetic, and solution-focused support throughout the counseling process.
- Candidates should ideally have a background in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields, with knowledge of overseas study pathways.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with UK and Canada admission and visa processes, experience in an education consultancy, proficiency with basic office software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
