Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Student Counselor based in Virudhunagar, with some flexibility for work from home. The Student Counselor will guide prospective students on overseas education options, helping them select suitable courses, institutes, and destinations based on academic background, interests, and career goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, handling inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and providing clear information on application processes, admission requirements, scholarships, and visa procedures. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, following up on leads, coordinating with international institutions and internal teams, and supporting education fairs, seminars, and orientation programs. The Student Counselor will also contribute to building positive relationships with students and families, ensuring a professional and supportive experience throughout the counseling journey.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to effectively guide learners on academic and career pathways.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education systems and overseas study processes, including admissions, visas, and scholarships.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in overseas education consulting, academic advising, or related student-facing roles.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills to handle multiple student cases efficiently.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in counseling or career guidance are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM or student management tools, along with the ability to work in a hybrid setup, will be beneficial.
