Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Advisor (Sales) role based in Bangalore Urban. The Student Advisor will engage with prospective learners via phone, email, and chat to understand their career goals and recommend suitable Simplilearn programs. The role includes counseling learners on course content, admission criteria, pricing, and financing options, while maintaining high standards of customer service and ethical sales practices. The Student Advisor will manage and nurture a pipeline of leads, follow up consistently, and work toward defined enrollment and revenue targets. Day-to-day tasks also include updating CRM systems, coordinating with internal teams on admissions and onboarding, and providing post-enrollment support to ensure a smooth learning experience.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated student counseling or academic advisory experience, preferably in edtech or education services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with clear and persuasive presentation abilities.
- Customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving.
- Understanding of the education and professional upskilling landscape, especially in digital skills domains.
- Goal-oriented approach with experience working toward sales, enrollment, or revenue targets.
- Comfort working in night shifts and in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, business, or related fields is an advantage.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Previous experience in inside sales, admissions counseling, or telesales is preferred but not mandatory.
