Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Structural Steel Engineer (Connection Engineer) for a leading company in Lithuania. The candidate will be responsible for structural steel connection design, preparing engineering calculations, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring fabrication-friendly and safe steel structures as per Eurocodes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review structural steel connection calculations.
• Design steel-to-steel and steel-to-concrete connections.
• Coordinate with project engineers, detailers, and fabrication teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with Eurocodes and project specifications.
• Review fabrication and erection requirements for structural steel projects.
• Support project execution with technical engineering solutions.
• Prepare engineering reports and connection design documentation.
• Maintain quality and safety standards during project coordination.
Technical Competencies, Software knowledge and other requirements:
• Strong experience in structural steel connection design.
• Proficiency in IDEA StatiCa software.
• Analysis Software: Experience extracting forces (N, V, M) from SCIA Engineer, RFEM, or similar structural analysis packages.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes and structural engineering standards.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Compulsory English speaking ability.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented international environment.
