Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer Design role based in Kochi. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design calculations for industrial, commercial, and residential structures in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing structural drawings and models using CAD tools, coordinating with civil, architectural, and other engineering disciplines, and preparing design reports and technical documentation. The role involves evaluating design alternatives, optimizing structural systems for safety, durability, and cost, and supporting project teams during bidding, construction, and modification phases. The engineer will also participate in site visits as needed, review contractor submissions, and help resolve technical issues to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and design, including the ability to perform detailed calculations for various structural systems and materials.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing and reviewing structural drawings and models.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, construction drawings, and geotechnical reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on safety and constructability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Familiarity with structural design software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, or similar) and knowledge of local and international building codes is an advantage.
- Relevant professional experience in industrial or commercial structural design projects is preferred.
