Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in structural design, analysis, and engineering documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong expertise in structural analysis tools such as Bentley STAAD Pro and RISA, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Revit, and BIM 360 for design modeling and coordination.
The candidate should have experience in structural calculations, steel and concrete design, and multidisciplinary coordination with piping, mechanical, and civil teams. Knowledge of engineering tools such as Pipe Data Pro and COMPRESS will be beneficial for projects involving pressure vessels, piping supports, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Analysis
- Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures using STAAD Pro and RISA.
- Design structural components such as beams, columns, foundations, platforms, pipe racks, and industrial structures.
- Conduct load calculations including dead load, live load, wind load, seismic load, and equipment loads.
- Prepare structural calculation reports and verify design compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Engineering Documentation
- Develop detailed structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and general arrangement drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Create and manage 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit and coordinate designs through BIM 360.
- Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication documents.
Industrial & Piping Structural Support
- Design pipe racks, equipment foundations, pipe supports, and structural frames for industrial and process plants.
- Work with piping engineers using tools like Pipe Data Pro and COMPRESS to ensure proper support and integration of piping systems and pressure vessels.
- Conduct structural stability checks for heavy equipment and piping loads.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with civil, piping, mechanical, and architectural teams to ensure coordinated project execution.
- Participate in design review meetings, technical discussions, and project planning sessions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure structural designs comply with international and local design codes such as AISC, IS Codes, ASCE, or Eurocodes where applicable.
- Conduct design verification, peer reviews, and structural integrity checks.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to structural stability and constructability.
Site Support & Technical Guidance
- Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
- Review contractor submissions and respond to technical queries.
- Conduct site inspections and structural assessments when required.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
