Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for buildings and related structures, including preparing detailed calculation sheets and design reports. The role involves developing and reviewing structural drawings and models using CAD and other engineering software, coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve design and site issues. The engineer will review construction documents for compliance with design intent and codes, support site inspections and respond to RFIs, and participate in value engineering, material optimization, and design improvement discussions. The position also includes maintaining documentation, adhering to project schedules, and supporting senior engineers in delivering projects on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Calculations to design safe and economical structural systems.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing and reviewing structural drawings and details.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering AND Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with structural design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar) is preferred.
- Prior experience in building design or consultancy environments in India is an advantage.
