Role Summary
We are looking for a versatile and results‑driven Structural Engineer with around 6 years of experience in the analysis and design of RCC and steel structures, working with both Indian (IS) and European (EN) standards. The role involves end‑to‑end structural design, cladding and façade support validation, wind load assessment, technical documentation, and on‑site support across buildings and projects in India and overseas.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with STAAD.Pro (Similar software), AutoCAD, MS Excel and relevant IS/EN codes, and will be comfortable working on multidisciplinary projects in sectors such as residential buildings, and façade/cladding engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures using STAAD.Pro (Similar software), ensuring safety, serviceability, and economy in line with applicable design codes.
- Design and validate façade and cladding support systems (L/T/Z rails, brackets, channels, fixings) with a focus on high‑rise building safety and wind load performance, primarily as per Eurocodes and BS EN standards.
- Carry out wind load calculations and pressure assessments for buildings and cladding systems using EN 1991 and relevant IS codes, considering project location and exposure conditions.
- Prepare structural models, load combinations (DL, LL, WL, hydrostatic/surcharge loads), and analyze the behavior of structures for buildings projects.
- Ensure all designs comply with IS codes (IS 456, IS 875, IS 3370, IS 1893) and Eurocodes (EN 1991, EN 1993, EN 1999) along with client specifications and statutory requirements.
- Resolve technical queries, and support contractors with interpretation of drawings and designs.
- Prepare and review calculation reports, drawings, BOQs, design notes, and other technical documentation for client submissions and approval authorities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, façade consultants, MEP, contractors, and clients) to ensure coordinated and constructible solutions.
- Stay updated with changes in relevant codes, tools, and industry practices, and proactively apply learnings to ongoing projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Approximately 6 years of experience as a Structural / Civil Structural Engineer working on building projects.
- Strong knowledge of RCC and steel design using IS codes (IS 456, IS 875, IS 3370, IS 1893) and working experience with Eurocodes (EN 1991, EN 1993, EN 1999) and BS EN standards.
- Hands‑on expertise in STAAD.Pro (Similar software) and AutoCAD for structural modelling, analysis, and detailing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for design spreadsheets, along with good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Experience in façade/cladding support design and validation for high‑rise buildings (desirable but can be listed as mandatory if role is façade‑focused).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and constructability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical reports and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
