Description
Burns & McDonnell India is looking for a Structural Engineer interested in growing their careers in an organization listed among top 100 Great Places to work in India. The “Aviation and Fueling” (A&F) business unit handles engineering of facilities in the North America region which includes aerospace facilities, commercial facilities, Airports, Hangars, warehouses etc. The Mumbai office has a full complement of professionals with expertise in architecture, civil, electrical, control & automation, fire protection, mechanical, structural engineering, and project management.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analysis and design of various super structures and foundations for industrial
facilities, design of steel and concrete buildings.
- Preparing detail design calculation report and reviewing the detail drawings and layout.
- Geotechnical report review, analysis and provide comments/clarifications.
- Review of equipment vendor drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, client(s) and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free
system design.
- Responsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong Interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
- Identify project-specific skill requirements and assign qualified staff in consultation with DM.
- Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
- Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
- A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
- Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Masters in Structural
Engineering an added advantage.
- Dynamic personality, eager to learn and interested in a stable commitment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tools:
- Exposure to any design software/tool like STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, SAFE, ETABS etc.
- AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Revit or Naviswork will be added advantage
- Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Onenote
