Role Description The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and detailing structural systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects in alignment with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing structural calculations, preparing design reports, developing and reviewing CAD drawings, coordinating with civil, architectural, and other engineering teams, and supporting project documentation. The role involves collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural solutions, as well as supporting design revisions during construction. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, requiring close interaction with internal teams and, when needed, visits to project sites.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Structural Engineering and Structural Analysis for the design and verification of building and infrastructure systems.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Civil Engineering principles, including materials, construction methods, and relevant codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, such as AutoCAD, for preparing and reviewing structural drawings and details.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in structural design for industrial, commercial, or residential projects, including familiarity with national and international design codes.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in calculations and drawings.
- Working knowledge of structural design software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, or similar) and on-site coordination experience is an advantage.
