About the role

We're seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Intern with programming experience to join our technology team. You'll work alongside seasoned engineers and analysts to build and maintain tools that support our investment operations, data pipelines, and research infrastructure. We're looking for driven, curious students with a passion for programming, systems design, and solving real-world problems. This internship offers them a rare opportunity to work directly with experienced engineers, build production-grade tools, and gain exposure to the fast-evolving intersection of finance and technology. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with engineers and quants to develop internal tools and APIs. - Write clean, maintainable code using our stack (e.g., Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS). - Assist with data integration, ETL pipelines, and backend services. - Contribute to code reviews, unit testing, and documentation. - Participate in sprint planning and agile development cycles. - Analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements to systems. Qualifications: - Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering - Experience with one or more programming languages (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.). - Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, or React). - Understanding of relational databases and SQL. - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus. - Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Bonus Points For: - Experience working with financial or time-series data. - Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or Git workflows. - Contributions to open-source or personal coding projects. - Interest in fintech, investments, or capital markets.
