Role Overview

We are hiring a Junior Data Engineer to support data engineering and analytics work for confidential client initiatives.

This is an entry-level, hands-on role focused on SQL, Python, data cleaning, data validation, data transformation, database loading, documentation, and support for analytics and AI workflows.

The selected candidate will work with senior data scientists, AI engineers, and data engineers to build reliable datasets, validate business data, prepare data pipelines, and support analytics systems.

This role is suitable for freshers or junior professionals with strong fundamentals in SQL, Python, databases, and problem-solving, even if you have limited professional experience.

Requirements

0–1 year of experience in data engineering, analytics, software development, or related project work.

Strong fundamentals in SQL and basic Python programming.

Hands-on exposure to Pandas for data cleaning or analysis.

Basic understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar.

Ability to work with CSV, Excel, JSON, and database tables.

Understanding of data cleaning, validation, and transformation concepts.

Familiarity with Git / GitHub is preferred.

Exposure to Docker, APIs, Airflow, dbt, PySpark, or cloud tools is a plus, but not mandatory.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.

Ability to work from StratLytics’ Bhubaneswar office.

B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field preferred.
