Strategy & Operations Intern | 3 Openings
▌ ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for highly curious, detail-oriented researchers who love digging deep and organising complex information into clean, structured, and actionable formats. You will be working on research that directly powers our core product — the quality of your work has a direct impact on what our users experience.
This role involves both desk research and direct primary outreach, so you need to be comfortable reaching out to organisations and professionals to gather information that is not publicly available.
▌ EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree (BA/BSc/BBA/MBA/MA) in Economics, Business, Finance, Journalism, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related field. (We value strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity over specific degrees).
▌ EXPERIENCE
- 0–1 Years: Open to current students and recent graduates.
- Prior experience in research, journalism, consulting, policy work, or academic data gathering is a strong advantage.
- Experience conducting primary outreach (cold emailing/calling) or stakeholder mapping is highly preferred.
▌ TOOLS REQUIRED
- Data Management: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets.
- Outreach & Comms: LinkedIn, Email Clients, basic CRM tracking.
- Research: Advanced search operators, web scraping basics (optional but a plus).
▌ WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong research instincts — you go beyond the first page of results and know how to find what is not easily findable.
- Ability to structure and organise large volumes of information clearly and consistently.
- Excellent written English — for outreach, documentation, and reporting.
- Comfort with ambiguity — you can work with a brief and fill in the gaps intelligently.
- Self-starter who manages their own time and flags blockers proactively.
- Genuine interest in the startup, policy, or investment ecosystem is a strong plus.
▌ DURATION
- Duration: 2–3 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role for outstanding performers.
- Start Date: Mid-April to Mid-May.
- The role is Unpaid
▌ WHAT INTERNS WILL GET
- Real ownership — work that ships, not busy-work.
- Direct access to founders — daily standups and weekly 1-on-1s.
- Certificate of Internship and a performance-based Letter of Recommendation.
- Exposure to an ambitious, fast-moving founding team building something meaningful.
- Pre-placement offers consideration for exceptional performers.
