To grow the right way, we need someone who can help us win new business — not by volume, but by being genuinely good in a room and genuinely smart on strategy. This founder-mindset role sits at the intersection of brand strategy and new business development.
This is a role for someone who is restless to work with the best brands. You want to be in the pitch, shape the thinking, build the relationship from scratch. You're as comfortable writing a strategy deck as you are having a first conversation with a CMO. Agency or brand side — we're open. What matters is the instinct and absolute high energy and paced warmth. A sharp strategist that can that can convert a client, a natural leader who can rally the agency team around a winning vision and can think completely alt, bold (almost delusional) ideas to grow.
You'll work directly with the founder to identify and convert new clients, build pitches that win, and strengthen the strategic product across existing accounts. If you've ever thought "I could run this agency better" — this is the role where you get to try.
What you'll actually do
You're organised without being rigid, and entrepreneurial without being chaotic. You want to build something, not just execute someone else's vision. Which means you have an audacious vision, a plan to achieve it with strong execution roadmap, and high energised moving at massive speed.
- Co-own new business development with the founder — from identifying prospects to closing
- Organise and lead pitches: structure the narrative, assign the work, own the room
- Build the agency's strategic POV for new categories and clients.
- Develop outreach strategies, warm leads, and network actively on behalf of L&H.
- Work internally to sharpen how we position and sell our work.
- Bring strategic thinking into new business conversations — not just credentials, but a genuine POV
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients independently over time
- Contribute to agency positioning — how L&H shows up, what we say, where we go next
- Work closely with the founder on high-stakes strategic decisions across accounts
- Lead growth marketing for L&H with a team of 1-2 interns (email marketing, substacks, original content IPs for instagram and Linkedin, L&H website)
- Identify new business opportunities and unlock overseas market
Who you are
You're sharp and you know it — but you're not precious about it. You've sat in pitch rooms, you understand what makes a client say yes, and you have a natural instinct for where a brand is leaving opportunity on the table. You might be agency-trained or come from the brand side — what matters is that you think commercially and creatively at the same time.
- 3–4 years in — agency strategy, brand management, or planning; brand-side candidates equally welcome
- You can walk into a conversation with a senior marketing leader and hold your own
- Naturally entrepreneurial — you see opportunities, you follow through, you don't need to be told twice
- Strong writer and speaker — your decks have a point of view, not just slides
- Organised enough to manage a pitch process but not so process-driven that you lose the instinct
- Ambitious in the right way — you want to build something, not just add a line to your CV
