Duties

You will serve as the Weapon System (WS) Systems Analysis Section Head within Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program office leading development of Navy's Hypersonic Weapon System.,You will manage and supervise a team of engineers, setting priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely project completion, while providing guidance and conducting performance evaluations.,You will provide programmatic direction and coordination for acquisition of Modeling and Simulation, Hardware-in-the-loop, Digital Infrastructure, and Software, in support of WS Verification and Validation.,You will represent the organization in meetings with external stakeholders, other government agencies, contractors, making decisions that impact the development, performance, and fielding of the WS.,You will ensure compliance with government directives and policies, interpret technical specifications and contracts, and implement local standards for hardware and software related to the WS.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading stakeholders through analyzing various lifecycle phases of a complex weapon system and/or applying programmatic discipline to meet mission objectives. This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
