Overview
Our Client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support regional procurement strategy across direct and indirect categories. This role drives category strategy execution, supplier management, sourcing events, and operational performance while ensuring alignment with regional and local business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Execution
- Adapt regional/global sourcing strategies to local market conditions.
- Provide insights on suppliers and recommend new sourcing opportunities.
- Lead RFQs/RFPs, conduct bid evaluations, and negotiate pricing to optimise value.
- Oversee day‑to‑day procurement activity and resolve supplier issues.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure cost, quality, and supply continuity.
- Manage supplier registration and major sourcing events in SAP Ariba.
- Maintain and update supplier master data in ERP systems.
Performance & Coordination
- Track and communicate procurement KPIs, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to meet procurement objectives and timelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Governance & Compliance
- Apply company policies on quality, environment, safety, compliance, and equality.
- Identify and report deviations and contribute to ongoing process optimisation.
- Represent Our Client professionally in interactions with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Goods, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 5-8 years of relevant procurement and sourcing experience across direct and indirect categories.
- Preferably experience in industrial goods or chemical sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and SAP.
- English proficiency required; local language skills preferred.
