The candidate must have strong industry connections with OEMs, national distributors, regional distributors, authorized partners, and dealers in the IT, CCTV, audio-video, digital security, networking, and related technology sectors.
The person must possess excellent commercial and negotiation skills and remain continuously updated on available SKUs, market pricing, MOQ requirements, OEM schemes, distributor inventory, lead times, and alternative product options.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide fast, accurate, and highly competitive pricing to the tender team, enabling the company to win projects in a reactive and price-sensitive Pan-India tender market.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, regional distributors, and dealers
· Obtaining project pricing, special discounts, back-to-back support, and competitive commercial terms
· Remaining updated on available SKUs, MOQ, inventory position, lead time, warranty, and technical compliance
· Identifying technically compliant alternative products and SKUs to improve pricing and margins
· Providing timely and accurate pricing support to the tender and pre-sales teams
· Comparing pricing across distributors and regions to identify the most competitive source
· Negotiating credit periods, delivery timelines, payment terms, project support, and price protection
· Monitoring market price movements and ensuring that tender pricing remains competitive
· Supporting the tender team in reactive pricing situations where quick commercial decisions are required
The candidate will also be responsible for the overall planning and commercial control of inventory available at the Palghar warehouse for rental and SITC operations.
The Warehouse Manager will continue to manage physical warehouse operations; however, the Procurement & Inventory Manager will supervise inventory utilization and purchase planning.
This will include:
· Reviewing available rental and SITC stock before raising any fresh purchase indent
· Identifying stock that can be reused or redeployed for upcoming projects
· Calculating the actual quantity required for new procurement after adjusting available inventory
· Coordinating with the Warehouse Manager for stock visibility, allocation, and utilization
· Preventing unnecessary purchases and reducing blocked working capital
· Identifying slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and non-moving inventory
· Liquidating suitable non-moving stock through dealers, distributors, or other market channels at an appropriate clearance price
Converting blocked inventory into cash and improving overall inventory efficiency
