Job details:
Company Description: The Pilot’s Compass is India’s comprehensive aviation career guidance platform, founded by a Veteran Naval Aviator and former Commander who served in demanding operational environments with the Indian Navy. The organisation provides end-to-end support for aspiring pilots, including financing partnerships, international training alliances, DGCA regulatory preparation, and immigration assistance. In addition to supporting individual aviation aspirants, The Pilot’s Compass collaborates with institutions and international aerospace partners to help build India’s future aviation workforce. With India facing a projected shortage of over 20,000 pilots by 2035, the company is focused on closing this gap through structured guidance and strategic partnerships. The Pilot’s Compass is committed to ensuring that every prepared pilot has a clear pathway to the cockpit.
The role
You will open and grow the institutional relationships that bring students to us. Working directly with the founder, you will identify, approach, and secure partnerships — principally with schools and colleges, and, over time, with aviation training organisations and other relevant institutions — and design short courses and guidance programmes that those institutions will offer their students. This is a relationship-led, outcomes-driven role: your success is measured in partnerships signed and students enrolled.
What you'll do
- Identify and approach schools, colleges and training institutions, and reach the decision-makers, principals, placement heads, and coordinators.
- Negotiate and structure clear, written partnership terms, and maintain those relationships so they keep producing.
- Design, with our teaching team, short courses and guidance programmes tailored to each institution's students.
- Represent The Pilot's Compass at institutional meetings and relevant industry events, using the founder's aviation credibility as your strongest introduction.
- Track partnership performance against agreed targets and report outcomes to the founder regularly.
- Conduct focused market research to prioritise the institutions most worth pursuing.
What we're looking for
- A demonstrable track record of opening and closing institutional or B2B partnerships — with real examples, named relationships, and results.
- Existing relationships within schools, colleges, or the education sector are a strong advantage.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Sound commercial judgement and comfort working to enrolment and revenue targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Aviation, or a related field.
- Experience in education, aviation, or training sectors is highly beneficial.
- Integrity in all dealings; every arrangement must be transparent, ethical, and properly documented.
- Based in or able to work on-site in Yelahanka, collaborating closely with a small, focused team.
Compensation
A fixed salary plus performance incentives tied to partnerships secured and students enrolled.
