Web Research Analyst

Straive is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Web Research Analysts to join our team for a 6-month consultant role. This position is ideal for fresh graduates who have a knack for web research, data analysis, and information extraction. The role involves gathering information from various online sources, analyzing academic and research-based data, and ensuring its accuracy. If you have strong analytical skills, basic Excel knowledge, and a keen interest in research, this role is perfect for you. You will play a critical role in collecting and validating data related to dissertations, theses, faculties, and academic disciplines. Roles and Responsibilities: Web Research Analyst - Conduct web-based research to gather relevant data from various academic and research-oriented sources. - Extract and analyze dissertation and thesis-related data, including student names, advisor details, department, organization, dissertation title, abstract, discipline, and degree issue date. - Identify and map collected data with a predefined vocabulary list for structured classification. - Collect profile IDs, grant IDs, and organization IDs from the given database. - Perform data validation checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to predefined conditions. - Work with MS Excel spreadsheets to document, clean, and organize collected data. - Ensure productivity and quality levels are met according to company standards. - Collaborate with team members to improve research methodologies and workflows. - Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity while handling research information. - Stay updated with academic research trends and methodologies for efficient data collection. Required Skills & Qualifications: Web Research Analyst - Education: Any undergraduate or postgraduate degree (Candidates from research backgrounds will have an advantage). - Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, basic understanding of web research methodologies, proficiency in MS Excel (Data entry, filtering, sorting, and basic formulas), familiarity with academic research terminologies, candidates, theses, and dissertations, good communication skills (Both written and verbal), ability to interpret data, analyze results, and generate meaningful insights, attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct errors, strong teamwork and collaboration skills, a proactive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn, must be flexible with work schedules and open to handling multiple tasks.
